Winemaker’s Retreat is situated between Berri and Barmera on an old soldiers settlement called Winkie.
This stunning home is on a working vineyard & date palm property and has been lovingly designed and built by Paul and Debbie Kassebaum. The house itself has not changed over the years but the garden and entertaining areas are an ongoing labour of love. They have entertained on many occasions, from quite elaborate affairs to many family events and social functions and every time, they marvel at the way the house and garden can adapt and cater to each function.
“My Husband and I have spent many wonderful years living in the Riverland. They have been happy times – developing our home and vineyard, raising the kids, being surrounded by family, friends & the wonderful extended community that we are such a big part of.
Now that our boys have left home, we find life is taking us on exciting new ventures which we both embrace.
Winemaker’s Retreat is a home that needs to be filled with families, friends and romantic couples, sharing wonderful wine and food – sharing special moments and making new memories.
