The Glenelg Tram travels between the Adelaide Entertainment Centre at Hindmarsh to one of South Australia's most popular seaside destinations, Glenelg, via Adelaide city. Until January 2006, vintage H-class tram cars provided all services on the Glenelg tram line. Since that time, they've been joined by a fleet of modern trams that operate the tram service. There's plenty for you to enjoy at Glenelg. The sandy beach and foreshore grass make a great place to stop for a picnic or some fish and chips. Walk south to Brighton or north to Holdfast Marina. Jetty Road is a vibrant street leading to the beach. There are plenty of cafes and shops to amuse you. For the kids (or young at heart) there is the amusement complex, The Beachouse.
